Englewood Arts Presents the Ainomäe Quartet, named for Silver Ainomäe, principal cellist of the  Colorado Symphony, and Anne Ainomäe, violist. With Boram Kang and Stirling  Trent on violin, this is a versatile  chamber ensemble composed of some of  the finest orchestral players  around. The program features two moving
pillars of string chamber  music repertoire: Schubert’s Death and the Maiden  and Shostakovich’s  String Quartet No. 8 in C minor, Op. 110.

The party will be held on December  7th,  5:00 – 8:00 PM at Trollheim Lodge,  6610 W. 14th Avenue, Lakewood.  The admission fee is free with paid 2014 dues. Otherwise the cost for non-members is $10/person or  $20/family (cash or check only).

FFC will provide the Christmas Ham and Beverages. Please bring a dish (salads, sides, dessert) to share with 10 others. There will be a Finnish-speaking Joulupukki to will give gifts (wrapped and provided by parents) & Children’s supervised craft table. Wrapped or open gifts for raffle are welcome and encouraged! Norske Butikken will be open for Christmas Shopping.

 The Young Ambassadors Program, sponsored by the US Embassy in Finland in  cooperation with Youth For Understanding (YFU) is providing 12 high school  students an opportunity to live with a family for 5 weeks and to learn about  environmental policies and green technologies in Colorado.

The students are participating in a full scholarship program designed to  educate Finnish youth about environmental matters in the US, and give them a  chance to experience American life at its best – as a member of a local  family and community in Colorado.
